This painting explores change and the ending of winter and the start of spring, the start of life. There is also the element water, it is ice thawing and how the struggle of depression is so dark and tries to take over you to envelope you in fear and dread, but a light appears and begins to eliminate the darkness.

'Fire and Water
This piece was one of those magic moments when I created it. It started as an experiment and turned out to be a fanstastic piece of art that I fell in love with when I saw the finished piece.
I created this piece over a period of two months. It was a slow burner that started off as a struggle and turned into one of the best abstract pieces I have done yet. I started this the February after my second surgery. It was my first piece that manifested into so many paintings before it became the piece it is today.
