I went up to the Dublin mountains once phase two of the Covid lockdown in Dublin was lifted. It was a beautiful late Spring day. Among all the lush green and life that was coming back into the forest, I saw a beacon of light in the shape of a rhododendron, its white and pink petals sitting atop its deep green surrounding leaves, and was suddenly inspired to paint it the next day. I had been thinking of painting it for a while but had been putting it off. When inspiration hits you cant ignore it
